Every quilt we produce is given a unique name - you
are getting a one-of-a-kind creation, and it deserves a name that is
well-suited for it. We will create a custom label that gives a few details
about it - including its name, size, and date it was completed. Fiber
content & care instructions are also included to help you get the
most enjoyment from your quilt for decades to come. The label is applied
by hand to the back of the quilt, usually near the lower right corner
of the quilt. We are happy to accommodate your request if you would
like to include a special message to the recipient in the label itself
at no additional charge.
For some quilts, swatches of each fabric used to produce
your quilt are hidden behind the label, in case a repair needs to be
made to the quilt in the future. We include this so that the fabric
"wears" the same during washings. Should you need these fabrics,
simply clip the threads securing the label to the back of the quilt
and pull the fabric out.
Before we package the quilt for shipping, we perform
a meticulous review of your quilt, removing stray threads, lint from
the batting, and inspecting the quilt for damage. Your quilt will also
be weighed to calculate shipping charges.
A final photograph is taken, and added to our Blog
pages. At that time, final payment for the quilt is due, and any outstanding
balance must be paid (including shipping charges & tax if applicable.)
You will receive an email with the total due and instructions on making
the final payment.
