Monkeying Around – Finishing
Once the quilting was done, I decided to add a narrow piping between the outer border and the binding, to break up the color a little bit and add some interest to the quilt: Start of post. That’s all folks!

Here is the central part of the quilt with the spiral design in the center: In the remaining part of the quilt, I’ve chosen to quilt it with fern leaves – here is a sample of the corner: Start of post. That’s all folks!

Here is the quilt, pieced & ready to be quilted. I’ve chosen an all over quilt pattern with a central motif – a spiraling sun design, and then fern leaves in the outer border areas. That’s all folks!

The quilt front has been completely cut and piecing is in progress. That’s all folks!
Monkeying Around – Fabric Selection
Since this quilt is for a nursery with a jungle theme, I was able to find this adorable monkey fabric with palm trees and coconuts. Pulling out the colors from this pattern, it’s relatively simple to adapt to the layout that was chosen. That’s all folks!

Project Description: This project is for a baby shower for an animal-themed nursery. Finished Size: 38″ x 38″ or 36″ x 45″ (depending on layout chosen) Fabric Selection: Fabric chosen is shades of lavender & sage; exact colors will be chosen once the theme fabric is selected. That’s all folks!
